Q&A

  1. There are so many kinds of help available; which one should I use?

The method of help that you access depends on the task you're trying to accomplish. Generally, there are several ways to get help on the same topic. If you want help on a procedure such as moving files, you can probably find related topics grouped together in the Index listing. There, you can find topics, grouped by subject, which you can browse.

For help on a dialog box element that you don't understand, click the question mark button (if one is available in the dialog box's upper-right corner) and click over the item you want help with. A description pops up that describes that item in more detail.

If you are having problems making something work and you've checked your hardware and software from the Compatible Hardware and Software link, it may be time to ask a remote user for assistance.
