One Last Note About Windows

You can completely change the way a window looks by selecting Tools, Folder Options and clicking Use Windows classic folders. When you click OK, the left task pane disappears and the window contains only the icons that represent your computer hardware. Figure 2.8 shows the My Computer window shown in this classic format. This format gives more screen space to your window contents but eliminates some of the tasks you could do from within the window. If you now want to display the Control Panel, for example, you would have to display the Start menu and select Control Panel from there.
