A Radio in Your PC

You don't have a radio inside your PC, even though the Windows Media Player includes a button called Radio Tuner. Instead of a radio inside your PC, you have something better: a radio for the entire world.

When you click the Radio Tuner, the Windows Media Player logs onto the Internet and connects you with Microsoft's Radio Tuner Web information, and displays that information inside Media Player as shown in Figure 21.7, and offers you numerous online broadcasts that begin playing in a streaming audio format as soon as you select them. Unlike a real radio, you can listen to what you want when you want. Over time, more stations will be added to your list as the Microsoft Media Player Web site collects more information from stations around the world and makes those stations available to your Media Player's search lists.
