Home > Blogs > Introducing Our Women In Tech Resource Center

As an education company with our imprints Addison-Wesley and Prentice Hall Professional, Sams Publishing, Que Publishing, Cisco Press, etc. all focused on technology learning, we felt it was very important to start bridging the gender gap within the tech community.

Our new Women in Tech resource center will feature articles from various women in different stages in their career from student to new professional to guru, to help women lean on each others advice and experience. We chose this format because one of the main reasons women leave technology and other STEM related careers is due to lack of mentors and community.  We will have articles and Q&A's from both Pearson authors and Pearson tech employees as well as various community organizations.

In addition to the page we will be working with various Women in Tech communities such as Black Girls Code, Women Who CodeGirlDevelopIt, Technovation, etc who offer in person events in the form of afterschool programs, camps and Meetups for both women and girls. We will be offering scholarships, discounts, and education resources.

If you know of an organization or group that would be a good fit or would like to write an article for the page, please comment below or email me!
