5.0 out of 5 stars Well Written, Easy to Understand, Thoroughly Comprehensive, I couldn't ask for more, January 1, 2013

I like this book...a lot...but where to start. Well let's start with full disclosure. I like, maybe love the "My _________" series. I generally think they're well written and totally approachable. I've used them to unlock the secrets of many phones, eReaders, and now tablets and I've used them to guide buying decisions when thinking about making a big gadget purchase, but they're written by many different authors with different styles and different strengths and I'm always aware that some day I'll be disappointed by an author that doesn't quite make the grade.

Today is not that day and Eric Butow is not an author that's going to disappoint anyone. My Galaxy Tab is as near to comprehensive as I've seen (from where the sensors and physical buttons are on your tablet to finding, downloading, and using apps). If you're new to your Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 or 7.0 this is the book for you. These units make up the main focus of the book, but it does have a little run down of the Galaxy... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Very handy book., January 5, 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (2nd Edition) (Paperback)
Being that the Galaxy Tab2 7inchwas my first tablet, and I'm unfamiliar with them and Android operating system, this was a very handy book/ guide for learning about it and setting it up.

One improvement I'd consider is more information on storage/ data and memory management (which is also a reflection on the Tab2). Being that the 8GB storage on the 7inch tab is a drawback, it would be nice to have more information in the book on how to use a microSD card and how to manage internal memory on the tablet. Most retailers are telling people that adding a microSD card is an easy way to increase storage on the Tab2 but this is somewhat misleading and perhaps any future editions of this book can discuss how to manage data storage.
