Steve Johnson has written more than 50 books on a variety of computer software, including Adobe Photoshop CS4 and CS3, Adobe Flash CS4 and CS3, Dreamweaver CS4 and CS3, Adobe InDesign CS4, Adobe Illustrator CS4, Microsoft Office 2007 and 2003, Microsoft Windows Vista and XP, Microsoft Expression 2, Microsoft Office 2008 for the Macintosh, and Apple Mac OS X Leopard. In 1991, after working for Apple Computer and Microsoft, Steve founded Perspection, Inc., which writes and produces software training. When he is not staying up late writing, he enjoys playing golf, gardening, and spending time with his wife, Holly, and three children, JP, Brett, and Hannah. Know Your Snow Leopard When You Need It,
This review is from: Mac OS X Snow Leopard On Demand (Paperback)OS X Snow Leopard is the seventh iteration of Apple's cutting edge operating system. OS X combines the stability and robustness of the underlying UNIX operating system with Apple's elegant and user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI). It is a very powerful operating system, and for the most part it is extremely intuitive. However, if you want to make the most out of the experience with your Mac, as well as if you want to simplify your workflow, then it would behoove you to invest a bit of your time to familiarize yourself with as many subtleties and features of Snow Leopard as you can. However, if you are too busy (and who isn't these days), then you may not want to invest too much time in going through a long-winded book that takes you systematically through all of the aspects of Snow Leopard. If you just need to know very specific things that you need to know immediately, then "Mac OS X Snow Leopard on Demand" is an ideal book for you.
