Libraries strong in Linux applications who cater to advanced programmers need FEDORA 7 UNLEASHED: it packs in a comprehensive coverage of Fedora 7, providing details on installing, using and administering Fedora and showing how to address a range of productivity and setup issues. This is no light introduction: chapters delve into working with Python, writing shell scripts, managing DNS and much more - all the applications and routines the serious Linux engineer needs.

I read this several years ago, the series of this book is good. This comprehensive reference book targets Fedora, a particular distribution of Linux. Though the distributions are evolving constantly, the basic concepts described in the book can be used for many distributions and versions.It is intended for the Linux user, mostly targeting novice and intermediate users and system administrators. This is not a book for advanced Linux veterans, or readers who are interested in operating system internals. The book does not discuss internals such as inodes or virtual memory management algorithms. If you want to explore kernel internals, this is not a book for you either. In summary, the book addresses user-level Linux management topics, and nothing regarding internals or system calls.
