To be fair, this is a pretty good package; the booklet, the tutorial videos, the Windows simulator and flashcards (online) make a good package for reviewing current A+ test materials before taking the two A+ exams. The irritating and unforgivable part of Pearson's A+ Cert Kit involves the cert flashcards, which did not work, and the product support from Pearson and InformIT which was polite but useless in solving the issue. Overall, the Kit may be a tad light on coverage of Windows 7, but if you've already taken a class based on the A+ (circa 2011) or studied from other sources that won't matter. (And you should as this is geared toward review of the subject matter---not for novice learners.)The cert flashcards are online and require an access code, which is bundled with the Kit; unfortunately, the Kit I received had an access code which returned an error, "access code invalid." No one at Pearson or InformIT (which appears to manage the flashcards online) could diagnose... Read more

Training that continues beyond the basics.,

This is excellent practical application. The flash cards will tell you how prepared you are real fast. The training is beyond the usual basics that are not quite enough. All though the basics are their you are required profeicency. with the flash cards it is like practical application that you must remember and know what you doing. (answer the question instead of multiple choice). Myself this is for self improvement but I am now thinking of working up to taking and passing the test (for credentials.)
