Rony G. Flatscher is a business informatics professer at the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, which is the largest economy and business university in Europe. He has been researching and teaching Java and scripting languages for many years and serves as an expert on the JSR-223 group, which standardizes Java APIs for scripting languages. Among other things, Rony serves as a committer to the open source Apache Jakarta BSF project and the open source project Open Object Rexx (ooRexx), initiated by the nonprofit SIG Rexx Language Association.
