Earl Bingham is the research and development manager for XMLCities, Inc., and a master of XML, UML, and enterprise product development. Bingham's responsibilities include the product management and development of server products associated with content management and Internet communication. He manages a number of engineers and works closely with business partners to execute the development of server-side products from conception to final release.
Bingham has filed a number of patents, and written articles about the XMLCities product and how it works with technologies such as XML, XSL, Java enterprise development, and data repository management. He was the founding chairman of the Silicon Valley XML Special Interest Group that is sponsored by Microsoft, IBM, and Sun Microsystems. Bingham is also the editor of the Oasis-Open xml.org newsletter. He is currently writing a book on XML and databases with Sams Publishing.
Prior to his work with XMLCities, Bingham was employed by WorldChain as director of engineering, where he was recruited by the founders to help define the product roadmap. He designed and implemented scalable, secure, and reliable applications using the leading-edge technology for the supply-chain logistics space using XML, Java, and Oracle 8i, securing three customers and over $30 million in funding.
Prior to WorldChain, he was employed by B-Bop as an engineering manager, where he worked to develop Java-based application servers that use XML-based software. Bingham earned his Master of Computer Science degree from California State University, Chico.
