Roger Hunt is an award-winning writer and blogger specialising in sustainability, old houses, house-building and traditional and modern building materials. Roger regularly lectures and speaks at shows and events and is on the editorial board of The SPAB Magazine.
Iain Boyd is a Trustee of the SPAB and of ICON (The Institute of Conservation). Formerly involved in advertising, television production and financial publishing, Iain switched his attention to his love of old buildings in 2007. He holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Conservation of the Historic Environment. The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings was founded by William Morris in 1877 to counteract the highly destructive 'restoration' of medieval buildings being practised by many Victorian architects. Today it is the largest, oldest and most technically expert national pressure group fighting to save old buildings from decay, demolition and damage.
