Yves Savourel

Yves Savourel has been in the localization industry for more than 10 years. He has been part of several efforts to take advantage of XML. One of the main architects of OpenTag (XML format for extracted text used in various localization tools), he is also Technical Chair for OSCAR, the group responsible for creating the standard XML format for translation memory exchange (TMX). More recently has is also involved in the definition of ITS, the Internationalization Tag Set standard being developed by the Localization Industry Standard Association (LISA), to markup XML documents. Yves is frequently published in Multilingual Computing, and has written on XML Internationalization.
