Win Treese is a principal with the consulting company Serissa Research, Inc. He is the former program director of the Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science & Engineering at Boston University, and has previously led software team at startups, including high-performance computing company SiCortex and Internet commerce pioneer Open Market. Win also chaired the working group at the Internet Engineering Task Force that standardized the Transport Layer Security (TLS) Secure protocol universally used on the Web. He is the co-author of the book Designing Systems for Internet Commerce (Addison-Wesley, 2002), and is currently working on a new book.
