Edward Galang is currently the Vice President of IT Planning and Development for Fremont Investment & Loan. He has over 18 years of management, information systems, risk management, consulting and security experience. In his current role, he oversees the IT Planning, Training & Development, IT Budget, Human Capital Management, IT Audit and Regulatory programs. This involves developing & maintaining strategic resource planning, IT capital & operating budgets, auditing and monitoring regulatory compliance requirements, and training & development plans. Before joining Fremont, Mr. Galang was the Chief Information Security Officer at Option One Mortgage Corporation, a non-prime lending and part of the family of H&R Block companies providing financial services throughout the nation based in Irvine, CA. Prior to, he was the Assistant Vice President/IT Operations at IndyMac Bank and in the Information Systems Risk Management Practice at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP. He has earned a BS degree in Computer Information Systems at California State University Los Angeles and another BS degree in Military Science at the University of the Americas.
