Diane Altwies

For over 20 years Diane Altwies has been managing major software development projects in the insurance, financial services and healthcare industries. Her background includes a broad and extensive range of experience in all aspects of project management. In 2000 she started her own consulting firm (OuterCore, Inc.), and a year later launched a Professional Development Company with 2 other partners (OuterCore Professional Development, LLC). She and her team of 10 consultants have provided project management expertise and training for companies such as Wellpoint of California, Texas Mutual Insurance Company, CompPartners, Paradigm Technologies, Medata, Citigroup, Deloitte consulting, Option One Mortgage and Prescription Solutions.

As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Diane has collaborated in the development of several project management examination preparation courses, which are offered to individuals and corporations in California and around the world. OuterCore’s study guide materials (Be a Top-Notch Project Manager) were published in 2003 and are being used today by several Chapters of the Project Management Institute (PMI®). In addition, Diane teaches courses in Project Management and Business Process Improvement for the University of California – Irvine Extension Program. She has a Masters degree in Finance and Marketing and a BA degree in MIS & Production Management, both from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
