Drew Bird

Drew Bird, holder of MCP, CNI, MCNE, Network+, Server+, and Linux+ certifications, has been working in the IT industry for more than 13 years. Originally from England, Drew has completed technical training and consultancy assignments for a wide variety of organizations including the Bank of England, The London Stock Exchange, Iomega, and the United Nations in Geneva. He now operates a successful technical training, consultancy, and writing business with clients in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

  • Presenter of Technology Today slot on CBC Radio One. The slot is scheduled once a month for five to eight minutes and addresses technology issues as they affect the public. Jointly responsible for selection of topics and writing content.

In addition to authoring a number of computer books and performing training and consultancy assignments, Drew is the managing editor of the Internet.com-owned Web sites EnterpriseStorageForum.com and IntranetJournal.com. Drew lives with his wife, Zoë, and their dog, Merlin, in the hills outside Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. When he's not working, Drew enjoys most outdoor activities, including snowboarding, camping, and kayaking.

Mike Harwood

Emmett Dulaney (Network+, A+, Security+, ManyOthers+) is the author of numerous books on certifications and operating systems. He is a columnist for CertCities and an associate professor at Anderson University. In addition to the Network+ Exam Cram, he is the author of the CompTIA A+ Complete Study Guide and the CompTIA Security+ Study Guide.
