Sherry Kinkoph Gunter

Sherry Kinkoph Gunter has written and edited oodles of books over the past 18 years covering a wide variety of computer topics, including Microsoft Office programs, digital photography, and Web applications. Her recent titles include Sams Teach Yourself Facebook in 10 Minutes, Craigslist 4 Everyone, Teach Yourself VISUALLY Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Bible, and Master VISUALLY Dreamweaver and Flash CS3. Sherry began writing computer books back in ’92 for Macmillan Computer Publishing, and her flexible writing style has allowed her to be an author for an assortment of imprints and to write in a variety of formats. Sherry’s ongoing quest is to aid users of all levels in mastering ever-changing computer technologies, helping users make sense of it all, and showing them how to get the most out of their machines and online experiences. Sherry currently resides in a swamp in the wilds of east central Indiana with a lovable ogre and a menagerie of interesting creatures.

A native of the Midwest, Sherry currently resides in the Indianapolis area and continues in her quest to help users of all levels and ages master ever-changing computer technologies.

William C. Ray is a Unix system administrator, programmer, and trainer. He was responsible for developing a computer-graphics center for The Ohio State University's College of Biological Sciences, where he performed such roles as the center's system administrator, Webmaster, and acting Director. He also has provided user support and Unix training for studentss and faculty members.

John Ray currently serves as the Director of Engineering/IT Services at Blue Cosmos Design, Inc. An award-winning developer, he provides customized TCP/IP programming solutions to clients nationwide, including The Ohio State University. In the past three years, he has authored or co-authored several books including Special Edition Using TCP/IP, and Maximum Linux Security.
