Betsy Bruce

Betsy Bruce is a consultant and owner of Performance Factor, creators of training and performance support applications using Dreamweaver and Flash. She is an Adobe-certified instructor for Dreamweaver, Flash, Captivate, and Authorware. As an authorized trainer, she has traveled the country instructing groups—ranging from corporations to school districts—on effectively creating dynamic and standards-based web content.

John Ray is a senior business analyst and developer for the Ohio State University Research Foundation. He provides custom network, security, and programming solutions for clients across the country, including the National Regulatory Research Institute and the Brevard Metropolitan Planning Organization in Florida.

Robyn Ness

John Ray is an award-winning developer and security consultant with more than 17 years of programming and administration experience. He has worked on projects for the FCC, the National Regulatory Research Institute, The Ohio State University, Xerox, and the State of Florida. He has written or contributed to more than a dozen books, including Adobe CS3 All in One, Special Edition Using TCP/IP, Mac OS X Unleashed, and Maximum Mac OS X Security. He bought his first Macintosh in 1984 and remains a strong proponent for the operating system that revolutionized computing.

Robyn Ness holds a master’s degree in psychology with a specialization in judgment and decision making from The Ohio State University. She currently works as a web developer, focusing on issues of usability, information design, and content development. In her spare time she tests the bounds of iPhoto by taking a ridiculous number of digital photographs, the best of which can be seen at www.floraphotographs.com.

John Ray

John Ray is a life-long fan of Apple’s products; he has been an avid Mac user since its inception in 1984. He relies on OS X both at work and at home because it is a robust, flexible platform for programming, networking, and design. Over the past 14 years, John has written books on OS X, iOS and OS X development, Linux, web development, networking, and computer security. He currently manages the application development team in the Office of Sponsored Programs at The Ohio State University. He lives with his long-time girlfriend, their dogs, a collection of vintage arcade games, and an assortment of tech toys.
