Gary D. Bouton

Gary David Bouton is an author and illustrator who adopted the personal computer after 20 years of creating artwork at a traditional drafting table. Inside Adobe Photoshop 5.5 is Gary's ninth book on Adobe Photoshop; he has written eight other books on computer graphics for New Riders Publishing, in addition to being a contributing author to three books on CorelDRAW.

Gary has won several international awards in desktop publishing and design, and he was a finalist in the 1996 Macromedia People's Choice Awards. A contributing writer to Corel Magazine and other publications, Gary is also moderator emeritus of the CorelXARA discussion list on i/us at http://www.i-us.com/xara.htm. Gary David Bouton, principal author, has written more books for New Riders than he can count, and Inside Photoshop 7 is his thirteenth book on Photoshop. Gary comes from an advertising background and is fluent in both traditional and electronic art tools. Gary, and his wife and co-author Barbara, hold six international awards in desktop publishing and design.
