Summary

In this chapter, you looked at the document view architecture used in MFC, as well as how you can use it to easily create very powerful applications. This architecture also helps to ensure that your applications have a similar look and feel, as users will expect from Windows applications.

You also looked at the various view classes that MFC provides, as well as how to implement several other nifty features, such as menus, toolbars, and splitters.

I think that you will agree that using the MFC classes and the document view architecture is a much better way to start off your applications than programming all these features from scratch.
