Summary

This hour introduced you to animated GIF images, which are the easiest and quickest way to add some action to your Web pages. You found out how to use Animation Shop 6, the animation module that puts together GIF animations for Paint Shop Pro 6. You also saw how to control how many times an animation repeats and the timing of each frame in an animation, as well as how to make animations partially transparent.

GIF animations can be placed on Web pages via the same <img /> tag as ordinary, unmoving images. All the <img /> attributes and options discussed in Hour 10 also work with animated images.

Like some other graphics programs, Animation Shop can generate some or all frames of an animation using a variety of special effects and automatic transitions.
