Using Windows Explorer
Windows Explorer shows you files, folders, drives, mapped drives, and even My Network Places, which you will learn more about in Lesson 13.
The default Windows Explorer view has a split screen with a hierarchical folder tree in the left pane (see Figure 9.4). All of the file management tools available to you in My Computer are available in Windows Explorer such as copy, move, rename, and search for files.

Do not confuse this Windows Explorer with Internet Explorer, which is designed to browse the Web and described in Lesson 17.
You can apply all the skills you learn for using My Computer and managing files to the Windows Explorer.
