Moving Files and Folders
Windows 2000 lets you move files and folders to different folders or different drives. The easiest way to do this is to use the Move To icon in the My Computer toolbar.
To move files or folders using the move to method:
- Open the drive or folder window where the file or folder is stored.
- Select the files or folders you want to move.
- Choose Edit, Move to Folder from the menu or click the Cut button on the toolbar. This opens the Browse For Folder dialog box (see Figure 9.1).
Figure 9.1 Click the plus signs (+) to expand disks and folders. The plus sign will turn into a minus sign once clicked.
- Select the drive or folder window where you want to place the file or folder. Click OK.
