Introduction
We've worked with Microsoft Windows and NT since, (so it seems) the beginning of time. Windows 2000 Professional, we think, is the best release of Windows ever! This opinion has nothing to do with our ability to grasp new concepts (after all, grasping new concepts is our job), but rather it is based on our students', friends' and relatives' responses to this product as they were introduced to it during the writing of this book. Of those who "field tested" our book, some were Windows-experienced, and others were using the computer for the first time. Everyone found Windows 2000 a pleasure to work with. We hope you do, too!
