Choosing Menu Commands

To choose a menu command with the mouse, follow these steps:

  1. Click the menu title in the menu bar. The menu opens to display the available commands.
  2. To choose a particular command, simply click it. For example, to see the View commands available for the My Computer window, click the View menu in the menu bar. The View menu appears (see Figure 3.2).

  3. To make the menu disappear, click anywhere outside the menu.

To choose a command on the menu, move the mouse to that command and click. What happens next depends on the menu and the command you have chosen.
