Saving a File Attached to a Message

Messages that have a file attached to them appear with a paperclip icon. In order to use the file, you must save it to floppy disk, hard drive, or network drive. Follow these steps:

  1. Double-click on the message that contains the file attachment to open the message in its own window.
  2. The file appears below the message text as an icon. To save the file to disk, open the File menu and select Save Attachments .
  3. Select the name of the file you wish to save from the cascading menu that appears.
  4. Change to the drive and folder in which you want to save the attachment; then click Save. You can rename the file if you want to by typing a new name in the File name text box.
