Saving a File Attached to a Message
Messages that have a file attached to them appear with a paperclip icon. In order to use the file, you must save it to floppy disk, hard drive, or network drive. Follow these steps:
- Double-click on the message that contains the file attachment to open the message in its own window.
- The file appears below the message text as an icon. To save the file to disk, open the File menu and select Save Attachments .
- Select the name of the file you wish to save from the cascading menu that appears.
- Change to the drive and folder in which you want to save the attachment; then click Save. You can rename the file if you want to by typing a new name in the File name text box.
