When most people think of hacking, they automatically assume computers are involved. Well, there are many so called 'hackers' out there that don't use computers or social engineering tricks - these are the house wife hackers. Instead of using technology, they use pre-established systems and find loopholes or just use them to their full advantage.

Everyday I am thankful that I live in a semi-rural area where there are stores like Amelias that sell 'seconds'. In fact, thanks to the Amish community, we even have stores that sell 'seconds' of 'seconds'. However, these stores don't often have everything...which is one of the reason I am glad my wife pays attention.

Most of us know that there is an active computer underground that provides the rest of the world with interesting hacks and crack on how to get the most our of your computer. However, did you know that there is also a subculture of shoppers out there that do the same with buying household items and food!?

Well, this last month or so, my spouse has joined up into a coupon exploitation system that really pays off. Put it this way, had she paid retail, it would have been a $51.00 bill - She paid $15.00. By combine marked down items, with manufacture coupons, and then adding on the CVS coupons that give you money back for certain purchases, she really came out ahead - and she even earned $22.00 for the next CVS purchase. If I was to spin it, she earned $7.00 by purchasing $51.00 worth of stuff...now that is one cool hack :)
