Erik Eckel earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in English from the University of Louisville in 1990. He returned to school to pursue Microsoft Network Engineer accreditation, which he received from the Sullivan University School of Business Administration in 1999. Eckel has also earned a variety of information technology certifications, including Microsoft’s MCSE and CompTIA’s Network+.
In addition to authoring certification study guides for leading publishers, including a best-selling Windows 2000 exam preparation guide, Eckel has written, edited, and produced award-winning annual reports, communications, and video programs.
He enjoys working with Windows and Apple systems, Linux desktops, handheld computers, small office networks, and emerging technologies. He is an avid cyclist, loves reading, and works as a technology consultant and author in Louisville, Kentucky.
