Marc Hamilton

Marc Hamilton is the Worldwide Director of Technology for Education and Research at Sun Microsystems, Inc. He has held a number of technology management positions at Sun over the last eight years. Mr. Hamilton has written numerous technical articles on Java technology and the Internet, and he is the author of the book Software Development, Building Reliable Systems. Before joining Sun, he spent 11 years developing software for high-performance computing applications at TRW. Mr. Hamilton has a bachelor of science degree in math computer science from UCLA and a master of science degree in Electrical Engineering from USC. He is a graduate of the UCLA Andersen School of Management's Executive Program as well. Mr. Hamilton serves on the executive councils of a number of schools and public institutions, including the corporate executive council of WGBH in Boston (one of the largest public broadcasting stations in the United States), the University of Florida executive advisory council, and the Loyola Marymount University computer science advisory council.
