Victor R. Savage

Victor R. Savage holds a joint position in Geography and the NUS Environmental Studies Programme (BES). His research interest is mainly on Singapore and the Southeast Asian region – historical and cultural landscapes, sustainable environments, environmental education, sustainable urban development and cross-cultural issues. He is currently Editor of the Singapore Journal of Tropical Geography and an International Editorial Board member of the Sustainability Science (Japan) and Geografiska Annaler (Sweden). He is Deputy Chair of the MEMs Programme Management Committee and represents the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Lye Lin Heng is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, NUS, and Chair of the University’s MSc (Env Mgt) [MEM] program’s Management Committee, as well as its representative for the Law School.  She is also Deputy Director of the Law Faculty’s Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (APCEL).  Her teaching and research interests lie in Property Law and Environmental Law. She is Visiting Associate Professor at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and also teaches at Sydney University’s Law School. She is a member of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law’s Board of Governors.  She is also a member of the Singapore Ministry of Environment and Water Resources’ Committee on Clean Drinking Water Standards, and the Strata Titles Board, Singapore.
