J. Peter Bruzzese is an independent consultant and trainer. Ed Tittel

Dan Balter is the Chief Technology Officer for InfoTechnology Partners, Inc., a Microsoft Certified Partner company. He works as an IT consultant and trainer for both corporate and government clients and has worked with several different network operating systems throughout his 20-year career. Dan takes pride in turning complex, technical topics into easy-to-understand concepts. Dan is a Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) on Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003, and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003. Dan and his family live in the Santa Rosa Valley area in Southern California, near the city of Camarillo. Ed Tittel is a 30-year-plus veteran of the computing industry who has worked as a programmer, a technical manager, a classroom instructor, a network consultant, and a technical evangelist for companies that include Burroughs, Schlumberger, Novell, IBM/Tivoli, and NetQoS. He has written and blogged for numerous publications, including Tom's IT Pro, PearsonITCertification, and GoCertify; and is an author on more than 100 computing books with a special emphasis on information security, Web markup languages and development tools, and Windows operating systems.

David Watts

Will Willis (MCSE, A+ Certified Technician, Network+, B.A.) is a senior

network administrator for an international software-development company in

the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area. He shares responsibility for the network and

server infrastructure with other members of the network administration team,

primarily focusing on Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory and

Exchange 2003. He also shares responsibility for server monitoring, documentation,

maintaining disaster recovery preparedness, antivirus strategies, firewalls/

network security, planning and maintaining the infrastructure (servers, routers,

switches, hubs), and ensuring the reliability and availability of network resources

for the global network.

Will began as a help desk tech, providing technical support over the phone for

PC hardware and software and later moved to a desktop/LAN support specialist

position working on a team of eight to support a 3,000+ user multiple-site

network. From that position, Will moved into a job as a network manager,

where he also administered multiple Active Directory domains and servers running

BackOffice applications Exchange Server, IIS, Site Server, SQL Server, and

SMS. He enjoys spending time with his family and writing and recording original

music when not busy being a techie and being active in church, including

teaching Sunday School. Will has co-authored numerous books and scores of

technical articles. He has also written practice exams and tech-edited many

titles. His first album of guitar-based instrumental music, Darkness into Light,

was released in 2002. Will is also a seminary student, finishing a Master of Arts

David Watts is an Advisory Specialist for Netfinity Servers at IBM's ITSO Center in Raleigh. He manages residencies and produces redbooks on hardware and software topics related to IBM Netfinity Servers. He has authored over a dozen publications; his most recent include Netfinity Performance Tuning with Windows NT 4.0, Implementing Netfinity Disk Subsystems and Netfinity Server Management. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Queensland (Australia) and has worked for IBM for over 10 years. He is an IBM Professional Server Specialist.
